A newly discovered cenote just outside of Valladolid, Yucatan, has led to the opening of Hacienda Chukum, a new travel destination. The 131-acre park features action-packed activities for visitors, as well as an open-air restaurant and a gift shop.

The highlight of the park is the new cenote, named Chukum-Ha. It features three natural openings in its ceiling that flood the turquoise waters with natural sunlight. Inside are ziplines; three diving platforms, built at heights ranging from 3 to 15 feet; a rope swing; and a 50-foot rappelling experience through the cavern's opening.

The park is open every day from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with passes priced at $10 for adults and $5 for ages 5 to 11. A full-day pass for $25 per person includes a buffet meal of local cuisine such as cochinita pibil and fajitas.
