Los
Cabos’ One&Only Palmilla has taken the wraps off Villa One, its sleek new
hilltop residence that headlines a number of enhancements at the resort.
Reminiscent
of a glass house, Villa One is a private, four-bedroom villa that boasts
floor-to-ceiling glass doors, providing views of the infinity-edge pool as well
as the Sea of Cortes and Los Cabos below. The living and dining areas feature
an open display kitchen, while the outdoor terraces include poolside loungers
under a palapa and a large fire pit. Complete with a separate Butler Suite,
dedicated household staff, fitness trainer and a massage therapist, Villa One also offers
a private screening room and a pantry that is stocked by staff based on guests' requests.
Other
additions include a new location and new activities for the resort’s KidsOnly
Club as well as menu additions at Agua by Larbi, Seared and Suviche. A variety
of activities, from art classes to culinary tours, have been added, as well.
The
new, complimentary KidsOnly Club offers a range of fun for guests ages 4 to 11.
In the newly redesigned space, they can learn Spanish; practice yoga,
reflexology and aquatic therapies; and play soccer, football or volleyball.
Little ones can also learn how to make sushi, pizza or desserts with the
resort’s chefs in their own personalized chef’s whites. For an additional charge,
children can spend a morning with One&Only Palmilla’s golf pros.
At
Seared, the steakhouse by Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten, guests can enjoy new
dishes like spring pea guacamole; roasted cabrilla and crispy beef short ribs.
At Agua by Larbi, new dishes include roasted beet and green tomatillo salad and
Pacific octopus ceviche. And at Suviche, yellowtail ceviche, blue fin tuna
O-Toro and salmon tartar guacamole are new choices.
For
the budding artist, One&Only Palmilla recently introduced an art loggia.
Available to adults and children, classes are held overlooking the Vista Pool lawn
and the Sea of Cortes, or privately in the guest’s villa. Each class is led by artist
in residence Tanya Talamante as well as local guest artists and focuses on a
variety of forms, such as sculpture, mixed media and drawing.
Chefs-in-training
will love the new partnership between One&Only Palmilla and Los Tamarindos
Farm. Available for the entire family, the culinary classes begin with a tour
of Los Tamarindos, where guests gather their own organic ingredients for the
day’s recipes, cook alongside chefs and prepare a four-course meal.
Guests looking for a day on the water are welcomed aboard One&Only
Palmilla’s 95-foot, four-cabin, luxury Catari Yacht, Guests can choose from a
day of relaxation, or enjoy watersports including kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding and snorkeling. An onboard culinary team is also available to prepare
a tailored to guests' tastes, as well.
