AndBeyond and Desert & Delta Safaris have reopened lodges in the Okavango Delta after complete refurbishments.
AndBeyond Nxabega Okavango Tented Camp in Botswana has reopened on May 11, 2016 following an extensive refurbishment and refresh. The nine tented suites have undergone a complete transformation. While the original footprint has been retained, the old tents have been replaced with simple new structures with wide overhangs for shaded outdoor living.
Desert & Delta Safaris has announced the reopening of its Camp Okavango after a complete revamp. It is located on remote Nxaraga Island in the heart of the permanent Okavango Delta and consists of 11 guest suites and one family suite.
All rooms of the new Camp Okavango are raised off the ground, ensuring that they have an exclusive view of the Okavango Delta environment. Elevated walkways connect the rooms to one another and to the main camp public areas. Guests are essentially winding through the trees as they walk around the camp.
The standard rooms encompass a foyer and lounge; a large bedroom and ensuite bathroom equipped with double vanity and shower; and an expansive deck accessible through large, retractable doors. The family suite has an additional bedroom with separate entrance to the bathroom area.
