Anchorage announces new indoor and outdoor capacity limits

|

The Alaska municipality of Anchorage has outlined capacity limits on certain indoor and outdoor gatherings in response to rising Covid-19 case numbers.

Emergency Order EO-14, which took effect on July 24, prohibits indoor events and gatherings of more than 25 people. Outdoor gatherings that include food and drink consumption are limited to 50 people, with exceptions made for farmers' markets, food truck and drive-in events where on-site dining is discouraged and attendees can remain physically distanced.

The order also scales back capacities for bars, restaurants, theaters, gyms, bingo halls and other indoor facilities.

On June 29, Emergency Order EO-13 directed individuals in Anchorage to wear masks or cloth face coverings while indoors in public settings or communal spaces.

Ongoing updates are available on the Municipality of Anchorage website.
