Las Vegas clubs are the stuff of legend: massive danceterias where the young and very restless party till dawn; thumping poolscapes fueled by A-list DJs; venues where Champagne is delivered not only by the bottle, magnum or jeroboam but also by the shower.

When people think Las Vegas nightlife, they think sex, excess and corporate-sanctioned naughtiness. They do not think house party, but maybe they should.

Just in time for New Year's Eve, Downtown's millennial-focused work-and-playground, the Gold Spike, unveiled the Sugar Shack, a 344-square-foot Traveler XL Tiny Home rentable as a party hub or hotel suite.

The trailer, which sells for around $78,000, looks like a miniature cabin with pine walls, lots of windows and all the standard features of a vacation home puzzled together into a petite package.

It sleeps up to six and has a full kitchen and bathroom, a TV, fireplace and a small, fenced-in yard within the Gold Spike's outdoor lounge.

"It is rentable as a hotel room product, but the focus is on the VIP bottle service," said Gold Spike assistant general manager Terran Phyfer.

For $250 per night midweek or $1,000 per night on Fridays and Saturdays (which includes bottle service up to $350), guests can book the Sugar Shack as a place to crash or throw a party.

Like a private room within a larger restaurant or nightclub, the Sugar Shack can serve as a private hangout inside Gold Spike's yard full of lawn games and lounge furniture. It has replaced the smaller Tumbleweed tiny home that previously resided on the patio and was not available for overnight stays.

"It sells itself," said Phyfer of the Sugar Shack. "It's a surprise when you walk into the backyard and you see the tiny house. It's an added Instagramable moment."
