The Atlantic Hotel & Spa in Fort Lauderdale is launching a Very Important Dog (VID) program on June 22.
The program, which carries a $150 nonrefundable fee that covers the length of the stay, applies to any dog, regardless of weight. Offerings at check-in include a designated check-in area, a welcome bag with a reflective collar tag, relief pads and treats. Once guests and their dogs reach their rooms, they'll find amenities such as a dog mat and bowl as well as on-request pet stairs or ramp and dog bed.
The hotel now features a VID Oasis, a designated area for owners to curb their pets, as well as a special dining menu at Coastal, the on-site restaurant. Dogs participating in the program may dine with their owners on the patio. For dining options, the hotel has partnered with BarkBistro's whole-food pet kitchen, an all-natural, fully cooked premium dog food.
