Gondwana Ecotours has purchased the Alaska Grizzly Lodge, a 14-room property located nine miles north of downtown Fairbanks.

The company will work with local partners Fred and Janet Vreeman to renovate guestrooms, add ramps and lifts, and expand private and shared aurora-viewing areas. The new owners also plan to expand on-site activities for groups.

'Alaska Grizzly Lodge guests have access to high-speed internet, cable television and breakfast as part of their stay. Winter gear, cross-country skis, snowshoes and camera rentals are also available.

Gondwana Ecotours has offered northern lights tours in Fairbanks since 2013, and operates group and custom bear-viewing, kayaking and glacier adventures in Alaska.
