The name Gordon Ramsay evokes the tyrannical TV personality behind prime-time hits such as "MasterChef" and "Hell's Kitchen."
But in Las Vegas, the famously forthright restaurateur who rose to fame when his first venue, Restaurant Gordon Ramsay, won three Michelin stars has a far sunnier reputation.
Perhaps that's because since he opened his first Strip eatery in 2012, the Scottish chef has staged a successful culinary invasion of sorts, establishing a handful of outposts within the four-mile tourist corridor. In October, he added another venue to his empire: Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips at the Linq.
Set behind doors that look like a crimson telephone booth, the eatery seats 30 and serves British pub staples in takeout-friendly boxes. The restaurant's signature fish and chips is made with sustainable Alaskan cod served alongside fries available "natural" (with sea salt) or "dirty" (with flavors such as truffle, chive and Parmesan or chipotle, jalapeno and chorizo).
The chalkboard menu also includes marinated shrimp, chicken tenders, a fried-fish pita wrap, a fontina-filled sausage corn dog and milkshakes, as well as toffees, lemonades and a selection of beers.
Pair your fish and chips with a glass of Ramsay's favorite ale, Innis & Gunn, and toast to the chef's Strip invasion.
Gordon Ramsay Fish & Chips opens daily at 11 a.m.
