After more than a decade in Las Vegas, SushiSamba at the Grand Canal Shoppes in the Venetian Las Vegas has found a new way to entice guests: a massive tree with an illuminated orange leaf canopy.
But it's what lies under that tree that will truly satisfy guests: The new 1,500-foot Tree Bar & Lounge features leather furniture, richly textured stones, tropical wood and custom light fixtures. What its designers call an "ancient banyan tree" hangs over the 125-foot curved bar.

"I have always been inspired by trees. Trees are wild; they often grow wherever they choose. Their roots are steadfast and strong. They represent life, ongoing," said Shimon Bokovza, SushiSamba founder and creative visionary. "Every part of this vibrant and luminous orange tree celebrates life and joy, and the bright days that lie ahead."
SushiSamba serves a blend of Japanese, Brazilian and Peruvian cuisine. The Tree Bar & Lounge's offerings include crispy yellowtail taquitos, Chilean sea bass, lobster ceviche and Peruvian-style chilled mussels.
The SushiSamba Tree Bar & Lounge, on the second level of the Grand Canal Shoppes, is open from 11:30 a.m. to 12 a.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 11:30 a.m. to 1 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
