Last Fourth of July weekend, the Plaza Hotel & Casino unveiled a fully reimagined rooftop pool with a Palm-Springs-meets-Old-Vegas vibe and boatloads of amenities.

The 70,000-square-foot outdoor play space boasts lily pad daybeds, poolside cabanas, a stage for live music, a handful of table games, tennis and pickleball courts, foosball tables and an area to play cornhole. There is also an on-site food truck serving dishes such as lobster rolls and tuna poke wraps.

This summer, the pool will enter phase two of its refurbishment, as the Downtown Las Vegas resort invests $25,000 to refresh the furnishings and $300,000 on making over five suites with direct access to the rooftop deck.

The 400-square-foot Pool Patio Rooms have been updated to reflect the pool's aesthetic with a mix of contemporary and midcentury decor and matching color scheme, as well as private patio space on the outdoor deck.

The rooms will be available starting at the end of May and cost from $200 per night.  Guests will be steps away from special events hosted at the pool, like a Hawaiian luau (May 20) and the Plaza Pool Nights, a free weekly night swim and party every Saturday from 8 p.m. to 1 a.m. To celebrate the Pool at the Plaza's first anniversary, the space will host a Fourth of July bash and live fireworks show, with Pool Patio Rooms guests getting a front-row seat.
