Ravn Air Group began operating scheduled flights between Anchorage and Unalaska (Dutch Harbor) on November 14, nearly a month after a crash killed one passenger and injured several others.
The Saab 2000 aircraft involved in the October incident was operated by PenAir, part of the RavnAir Group portfolio, and marketed by Alaska Airlines.
Ravn introduced daily Unalaska flight service on 29- and 37-seat Dash 8 planes in November, according to company press materials. Those flights will continue through December 24; updates on future flights is expected in the coming weeks.
With Ravn halting service on Saab 2000 aircraft pending a full investigation of the October events, Alaska Airlines has canceled flights to and from Dutch Harbor through May 31, 2020. Guests who booked a Dutch Harbor ticket though Alaska Airlines on one of the canceled flights will receive an email outlining rebooking details on a Ravn flight. Guests who prefer to change their plans or request a refund can do so by calling (800) 252-7522.
Updates are available on the Ravn and Alaska Airlines websites.
