Set to open on Jan. 15, Virgin Hotels Las Vegas is reimagining the former Hard Rock Hotel's pool area with a culinary party atmosphere.
The five-acre pool and entertainment complex includes the resort's pool, day club and the Promenade and Event Lawn. It will feature Mediterranean-style decor, custom furnishings cabanas and daybeds.
The Promenade's meandering pathway will be home to the property's new restaurants: Olives from award-winning chef Todd English; Hakkasan Group's Casa Calavera and Kassi Beach Club from restaurateur Nick Mathers; and Money, Baby!, a sports and entertainment venue from Clive Collective. The resort pool will open in March.
The two-story, Mykonos-themed day club is set to open in April with an open-air entertainment stage, multilevel bar experiences and a poolside restaurant.
The Event Lawn will host concerts and private events. It connects to the Manor, a new indoor event space that opens out to the resort pool and the Promenade.
The former Hard Rock Hotel live-music club Vinyl, which can accommodate 688 people, will become 24 Oxford, according to a report in the Las Vegas Review-Journal. The name is inspired by the first Virgin Record Store, which opened at that address in London in 1971.
