The new Travel Assurance Booking Policy from Windstar Cruises will give travelers more flexibility to change plans for trips booked on or after June 1.

The policy allows guests to cancel up to 15 days before their cruise departs without incurring a fee. Travelers who cancel within the window receive a future cruise credit that can be applied toward another Windstar departure within one year of the issue date.

The offer is good for cruise fare only.

Windstar's Travel Assurance Booking Policy automatically applies to new and existing cruises departing on or after June 1, 2020, through Dec. 31, 2021.

In response to Covid-19 concerns, Windstar has implemented enhanced health screenings for guests and crew. Individuals who have traveled from or through China, Hong Kong, Macao or South Korea, or have had close contact with anyone suspected or diagnosed with coronavirus, within 30 days of embarkation will not be allowed to board the company's ships. Passengers and crew with temperatures above 100.4 degrees Fahrenheit will also face board restrictions.

Windstar has suspended crew travel through mainland China, Hong Kong, Macao and South Korea and canceled all 2020 Asia sailings.
