AmaWaterways is planning to grow its fleet to more than 50 ships by 2032, its biggest expansion to date.
The river cruise line, which currently has a fleet of 31 ships, will add 15 ships in Europe alone. Beyond the Continent, AmaWaterways plans to grow capacity by 60% in Africa and Asia with new ships on those continents. Among those additions is a ship on Africa's Chobe river.
"Our expansion reflects strong demand across both our established and emerging markets," said CEO Catherine Powell. "River cruising is on a clear growth trajectory, and we are investing with purpose, expanding our global footprint while continuing to elevate the experience for our guests and our travel partners."
The company had already announced plans to add eight ships in Europe in the coming years and shared on Tuesday its plans to debut an additional seven vessels, including one in Portugal.
