Air Tahiti Nui will resume service between Los Angeles and Paris on Wednesday, ending a pause that began in July 2020.

The carrier will operate the flight four times per week between LAX and Paris de Gaulle on a 294-seat Boeing 787-900 Dreamliner featuring business, premium economy and economy cabins.

Air Tahiti Nui will compete on the route against Air France's twice-daily service, Cirium schedule data shows.

Discount carrier French Bee will fly LAX-Paris Orly four times per week beginning April 9.

With the resumption of Los Angeles-Paris, Air Tahiti Nui will be competing against Air France on two LAX routes. Last week, Air France resumed its service between Los Angeles and the Tahitian capital of Papeete, flying three times per week.

Air Tahiti Nui had already been serving the route and on Wednesday will increase that service from four times to eight times per week.

Meanwhile, San Francisco-Papeete service is also seeing a boost this month. French Bee resumed that route on Nov. 10 after postponing earlier plans for a June relaunch. French Bee will fly between San Francisco and Tahiti three times per week in December, competing against United's standing thrice-weekly service.
