Alaska Airlines will begin flying between Miami and Portland, Oregon, on Nov. 17.
The daily, year-round route will be Alaska's second to Miami. The airline began Miami-Seattle service last year.
Miami will be Alaska's fourth Florida destination from Portland, joining year-round service to Orlando, winter service to Fort Lauderdale and weekly winter service to Tampa.
No other airline serves Portland-Miami.
Alaska has also announced that it will operate winter seasonal service between New York JFK and Palm Springs, Calif., with the first flight taking off on Dec. 14. Alaska will compete against JetBlue on the route.
