Alaska Airlines has entered into a mileage partnership with the rideshare app Lyft.
Mileage Plan loyalty members can earn two miles for each dollar spent on Lyft rides in the U.S. or Canada until Dec. 31. After the new year, accrual rates will be one mile per dollar spent. Money spent on taxes, fees, tolls and tips are excluded from accruals.

To partake, individuals must link their Mileage Plan and Lyft accounts at AlaskaLyft.com. Sign-up is free. Once the accounts are linked, users should double check that Mileage Plan is selected as the preferred travel partner in the Rewards section of the Lyft app.
The partnership is Lyft's third with a travel company loyalty program. The rideshare giant also has point accrual partnerships with Delta SkyMiles and Hilton Honors.
