Delta Air Lines will begin flying to Porto, Portugal, next year.

Daily Delta seasonal service from New York JFK to Portugal's second-largest city begins on May 21 and will last until late October.

Delta will be the only airline connecting Porto with JFK, Cirium flight schedule data shows, though United and its Star Alliance partner TAP Portugal fly there from nearby Newark. The only other route between the U.S. and Porto is TAP's service from Boston.

Delta will fly JFK-Porto with a Boeing 767-300 featuring business, premium economy and economy cabins.

JFK-Porto is one of seven new European routes Delta has announced for next summer, joining Boston to Madrid and Nice, Seattle to Barcelona and Rome, and JFK to Malta and Sardinia.
