Delta will add four new routes from Miami this summer as it
begins a partnership with South America’s Latam.
The carrier’s new destinations from Miami will be Orlando,
Salt Lake City, Tampa, and Raleigh-Durham, N.C. Delta will fly Miami-Tampa and
Miami-Orlando five times daily. It will fly twice daily to Raleigh-Durham and
daily to Salt Lake City.
With the four new routes, Delta will serve 10 U.S. cities
from Miami, offering 41 daily flights.
In late December, Delta completed its purchase of a 20%
equity stake in Latam Airlines Group. The carriers, which signed a partnership
deal in September, plan to begin codesharing this quarter on up to 51 onward Latam
destinations in South America from Colombia, Ecuador and Peru and on up to 74
onward Delta destinations in the U.S. from Miami, New York, Los Angeles and
Orlando. They also plan to seek permission to operate a U.S.-South America
