Delta has announced nine more new summer seasonal routes as it prepares for an anticipated recovery in leisure travel.

The carrier will fly three times weekly starting May 7 from New York JFK to Bozeman, Mont.

From Boston, Delta will offer Saturday service to Hilton Head, S.C., beginning May 8 and Saturday service to Traverse City, Mich., beginning May 29. Daily service to Bangor, Maine, starts March 5.

Delta will also introduce weekly Atlanta-Bangor service May 8.

Three new Delta summer routes will touch Seattle and compete with Alaska Airlines. Weekly Saturday service from Seattle to Glacier Park, Mont., and Fresno, Calif., begins May 29. Weekend Seattle-Reno service also launches May 29.

Finally, Saturday Delta service between Detroit and Bozeman begins May 29.

Delta's Friday announcement follows its announcement last week of five new routes to Alaska the summer -- also in search of leisure demand.
