Iceland's newest discount airline will begin flying in June.
The carrier, called Play, commences operations June 24 with four-times per week service between Reykjavik and London Stansted. Tickets starting at 30 British pounds ($43) one-way are now available for purchase at flyplay.com.
Play will begin service with one single-class Airbus A321neo configured with 192 economy seats. Two more A321neos will be delivered in July. Though its first destinations will be in Europe, the airline says it will add routes to North America early next year.
Play's chief executive is Birgir Jonsson, who was COO at defunct Icelandic ultralow-cost carrier Wow between September 2014 and October 2015.
