Icelandic discount carrier Play will introduce daily service between Washington Dulles and Reykjavik on April 26.

From Reykjavik, Play will offer connecting service to 21 European destinations next spring.

Dulles will be Play's fourth U.S. market and will augment existing service to nearby Baltimore/Washington Airport. In addition, Play flies to Boston and to Stewart Airport, which is located approximately 60 miles north of New York.

Play previously said it would introduce Orlando service on Oct. 1, but that route has been scrapped.

Play launched U.S. service in April. Operations have been successful, according to the carrier, with 110,000 passengers flown. The carrier began operations with Europe service in June 2021.
