JetBlue
is expanding its Mint premium-cabin service to flights from New York to St. Lucia
and St. Maarten as well as from Boston to Aruba, effective Nov. 5 through
spring 2017.
The
flights will operate weekly, but will increase to a daily roundtrip to each
destination in peak holiday periods.
Customers
flying the Mint service, which was introduced in June 2014, enjoy signature
cocktails; lie-flat seats with massage function and cushion-firmness selector; a Birchbox amenities kit; a 15-inch touchscreen TV; and a tapas-style menu by Saxon + Parole. Some of the seats are "pods" with doors that close for privacy.
Mint fares start at $599 each way.
JetBlue
will again offer seasonal weekly Mint service from New York to Aruba and
between Boston and Barbados, Nov. 5 through next spring. Mint
service between New York and Barbados, launched in fall 2015, will
continue to operate year-round on Saturdays.
On
the domestic front, JetBlue has set Oct. 20 as the launch date of its daily
Mint service between Boston and Los Angeles. In November, the schedule will be
upped to three daily roundtrips.
