Qatar Airways will launch service between Doha and San Francisco on Dec. 15, flying four times weekly.
The route, which is new to the Qatar network and not a service resumption, will join eight other U.S. markets that Qatar is currently serving from Doha.
Qatar will operate the flight with an Airbus A350 that features 36 business-class seats and 236 seats in economy class.
San Francisco will be the fifth global destination Qatar has added during the Covid-19 pandemic, joining Toronto; Brisbane, Australia; Accra, Ghana; and Cebu, Philippines.

"As we navigate the crisis, we have made it a priority to not only reinstate our existing destinations and be the airline travelers can rely on but to also grow our network and increase connectivity with new and relevant destinations for our customers to enjoy," Qatar CEO Akbar Al Baker said in a prepared statement.
Qatar's other U.S. destinations are Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia and Washington.
The carrier has yet to resume service to Miami and Atlanta, both of which it suspended due to the pandemic.
