Southwest Airlines customers can obtain a Companion Pass valid from Aug. 15 to Sept. 30 under a promotion available through Wednesday, April 5.
Obtaining the limited-time pass is relatively simple. Rapid Rewards members must first register for the promotion online, then purchase a roundtrip ticket by April 5 for travel by May 24. Alternatively, flyers can purchase two one-way tickets.
Following those steps will enable flyers to designate a companion to fly with them as many times as they'd like from Aug. 15 to Sept. 30 for only the cost of taxes and fees, which start at $5.60 roundtrip.
Annual Companion Passes are Southwest's most prized loyalty perk. A 2024 Companion Pass can be earned by flying 100 one-way segments this year or by accruing a combined 135,000 Rapid Rewards points in 2023 through purchases of Southwest tickets and purchases made with a Rapid Rewards credit card.
