United will launch service between Orange County John Wayne Airport and Honolulu on May 6. The daily, year-round, service will be the only one offered between the Southern California destination and Hawaii.
Tickets go on sale Saturday.

Orange County-Honolulu is the third unique route United has announced to Hawaii this summer. The carrier was also the first to announce service from Newark to Maui and from Chicago O'Hare to Kona on the Big Island.
Those four-times weekly services begin June 3.

With the three new routes, United will offer nonstop service on more than 20 city pairs between the mainland and Hawaii.
