Anticipating strong holiday demand, United Airlines will fly its largest domestic schedule since the start of the pandemic.
In December, United says domestic capacity will be 91% of December 2019.
"We're seeing a lot of pent-up demand in our data and are offering a December schedule that centers on the two things people want most for the holidays: warm sunshine and fresh snow," said Ankit Gupta, United's vice president of network planning and scheduling.
United said holiday flight searches on its website and app are up 16% from 2019.
The December schedule will include 66 daily flights to ski destinations, including a new route between Aspen and Orange County, Calif.
The carrier will also introduce new flights from Cleveland to Las Vegas and Phoenix, as well as an Indianapolis-Orlando route.
United said its Cleveland flight volume will be the largest since 2014, the year United closed its hub operations in Cleveland.
Meanwhile, the carrier is planning as many as 195 peak-day daily flights to Florida this winter, its most ever.
