AIC launches Unico all-inclusive brand

AIC Hotel Group has unveiled an all-inclusive brand that it says will "embrace contemporary culture and connect guests to the real version of each destination."

The first Unico property, scheduled to open in Mexico's Riviera Maya region in the first quarter of 2017, will feature 448 rooms and offer cooking classes, tours of lesser-known parts of the region, visits to artists' studios and other immersive experiences, according to a statement from the company. Facilities will include three pools, four restaurants and an 11,600-square-foot ballroom.

AIC officially unveiled the new brand at an event in New York Tuesday and gave its top-selling agents and tour operators a sneak preview during last week's Showstopper Awards event at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya.

Formerly the All Inclusive Collection, AIC's portfolio includes Hard Rock hotels in Mexico and the Dominican Republic, as well as the Eden Roc Miami Beach and the Nobu Hotel Miami Beach.
