Club Med is bumping the Club Med Turkoise's "Trident" rating from 3 to 4 stars, effective May 1.

The higher rating is because of recent renovations following the hurricanes last September, plus enhancements planned for this summer.

The 291-room all-inclusive, which reopened Jan. 31, now features 80 new deluxe rooms with balconies, a redesigned pool, the new Blue Coral main bar, upgraded Grace Bay restaurant with a new wraparound terrace, a renovated fitness center, new waterfront palapas for spa treatments and the addition of large LED screens in the entertainment space.

Coming this summer are a new poolside beverage service and a wine cellar.

Guests will soon receive digital bracelets for one-touch access to their rooms and to secure spa bookings and excursions.
