The Club Med Columbus, located on San Salvador Island in the Bahamas, is reopening on Oct. 22 following an extended pandemic-related closure.
The all-inclusive resort, which has been shuttered since March 2020, completed updates during its pause, including the development of two new culinary venues. La Pinta will be a Mediterranean-inspired beach lounge with all-day dining, and Christopher's will serve international food options as well as vegan fare created as part of a Club Med training program led by vegan chef Chloe Coscarelli.
Other updates include a refresh of the property's two-story bungalow-style accommodations, as well as a revamp of its wellness programming. The Club Med Columbus' new "Wellness Fusion" platform will feature yoga programs, moonlight massages and holistic spa treatments at the Club Med Spa by Sothys.
The Club Med Columbus will also reopen with a variety of new experiences, including ATV tours and sunset scuba dives.
Update: The Club Med Columbus has been closed since March 2020. An earlier version of this report said that the resort had been shuttered since last November.
