Disney Vacation Club has unveiled details about the Disney Lakeshore Lodge, which is expected to open at Orlando's Walt Disney World Resort in summer 2027.

The standalone, nature-inspired resort will be situated along Bay Lake, between Disney's Wilderness Lodge and Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort & Campground, and across the water from Disney's Contemporary Resort.

The property will draw inspiration from Disney animated films set in nature, like "Bambi," "Pocahontas" and "Brother Bear." Nods to those movies will be integrated into the lodge's architecture and design.

The Disney Lakeshore Lodge will offer 967 accommodations, ranging from studios to multi-bedroom villas. The property will also feature Lake Houses, a new room category for Disney Vacation Club. The one- and two-bedroom waterfront Lake Houses will offer Bay Lake views as well as enhanced privacy.

The resort also promises views of the Magic Kingdom's nighttime fireworks.

Additional details on dining, recreational offerings and other amenities are slated to be released in the coming months.

Disney Vacation Club currently operates 18 properties, and most of them are in and around Disney's domestic theme parks. Accommodations can be booked by club members and nonmembers.
