The Four Seasons Hotel Tunis has opened, offering guests easy access to the nearby ancient Roman ruins of Carthage and the village of Sidi Bou Said.

The 203-room hotel is a network of white, Arabesque-architecture buildings overlooking the Mediterranean Sea. Buildings are connected by archways and feature mashrabiya, a type of latticework from carved wood.

The hotel's grounds include fountains, gardens and palm trees. All guestrooms have either sea or garden views.

In addition to providing beach access, the hotel has an indoor-outdoor lap pool as well as an additional outdoor pool that overlooks the Mediterranean.

Among the property's food and beverage options are the Creek, which serves Mediterranean coastal cuisine; Blu Bar & Grill, which serves seafood al fresco; Azur, which features international cuisine; and Salon Alyssa, a casual eatery.

The spa has 11 treatment rooms. A kids' area provides cultural activities and games.
