Hilton began managing New York's 516-room London NYC today and will convert it to the Conrad New York Midtown in 2019 after a renovation.

The renovation will update all guestrooms and public spaces with interiors designed by Stonehill & Taylor; add a new upscale dining concept and offer 24-hour in-room dining; and will feature 4,798 square feet of meetings space.

It will be the city's second Conrad; the all-suite Conrad New York near Battery Park opened in 2012.

Hilton CEO Christopher Nassetta said in July that the company would add a Conrad in New York, though he wasn't specific about the site.
