Scheduled to debut on Dec. 18, the Kimpton Aluna Hotel is located within Tulum's Aldea Zama private community. Originally opened in 2018 and formerly flagged as the Aluna Hotel Tulum, the property features 72 standard guestrooms and six suites, as well as amenities like a restaurant and rooftop bar, two outdoor pools, a swim-up pool bar, a spa and a fitness center.

Guests at the Kimpton Aluna will also have access to a private, off-site beach club, accessible via the property's vintage cars or complimentary beach cruisers.

Kimpton said it also plans to open two boutique hotels in Mexico City by late 2021.

The three Mexico properties will build on Kimpton's existing footprint of more than 60 hotels worldwide.

The brand, which is part of the InterContinental Hotels Group portfolio, said its pipeline has more than 25 new hotel projects, including openings slated for Paris, Hong Kong, Bali and Shanghai, set to open over the next three to five years.
