MGM Resorts International, Las Vegas Sands and Caesars Entertainment
are assisting victims of the mass shooting at Mandalay Bay Resort & Casino,
as well as victims' families and first responders.
MGM donated $3 million to victims and first responders, and
is providing lodging, transportation, food and grief counseling to victims and their
families. The company owns and operates the Mandalay Bay.
"There are simply no words to express our grief and
outrage over this senseless and horrific attack on our community," said
MGM Resorts International CEO Jim Murren. “With this donation, we hope to make
a difference to those who were harmed and those who are left behind.”
Las Vegas Sands has established a $4 million relief fund for
victims, families and first responders -- $2 million each from Sands Cares and
the Adelson Family Foundation.
Caesars Entertainment, along with its workers and
entertainers, said they would commit $2 million toward relief aid. The company
also said its restaurant partners -- including Guy Fieri, Bobby Flay, Gordon
Ramsay and Giada de Laurentiis – will produce an event to honor those impacted
by the massacre.
