MGM Resorts International is closing the concierge desk at six Las Vegas hotels: MGM Grand, Signature at MGM Grand, New York-New York, Mandalay Bay, Park MGM and Vdara.
Guests at these locations will now receive assistance from centralized teams based at sister properties Aria and Bellagio.
According to the company, this operational change comes in response to changing guest behavior that increasingly favors digital and phone interactions over traditional in-person service.
MGM Resorts says its digital concierge platform currently handles over 70,000 conversations monthly.

The company's luxury hotels in Las Vegas -- Bellagio, Aria, The Cosmopolitan and the W Las Vegas -- will maintain their in-person concierge services without changes. Additionally, VIP concierge desks will continue operating at Mandalay Bay, MGM Grand and Park MGM.
To support this transition, MGM Resorts is adding staff at the Aria and Bellagio.
The company said it is working with approximately 30 impacted concierge team members to find new jobs within the MGM Resorts network, with 15 of those employees to be moved into new roles at Bellagio, Aria and The Cosmopolitan.
