Red Roof Inn next year will reflag its downtown Chicago
property, and it will become the first hotel in its new Red Collection.
The 195-room Red Roof Inn Chicago Downtown-Magnificent Mile will
relaunch as the St. Clair Hotel.
Red Collection hotels will be located in urban centers and
will be "modern, accessible and affordable," Red Roof Inn said.
Amenities will include "spa-inspired"
bathrooms, free WiFi and a policy that allows pets for no extra charge.
Red Roof Inn said it is considering hotels in New York, Las
Vegas, Charlotte and Austin for the Red Collection.
