AMResorts is making its foray into Aruba, unveiling plans to
manage a new Secrets all-inclusive resort on the island's southern end.
Scheduled to open in the fourth quarter of 2021, the 600-room
Secrets Baby Beach Aruba will be located on Baby Beach, in proximity to San
Nicolas.
Javier Coll, executive vice president and chief strategy officer
for AMResorts parent Apple Leisure Group, said Aruba "continues to be in high
demand, with over 1 million yearly visitors and the recent emergence of a major
luxury eco-tourism market. These factors, along with the Caribbean's overall
forward momentum, give us great confidence in the short and long-term potential
of the destination."
AMResorts is preparing to add the Dreams Curacao and the Secrets
St. Martin to its Caribbean portfolio in the coming months.
