Six Senses has unveiled new details about its first Caribbean resort, the Six Senses La Sagesse Grenada, which is scheduled to open in late 2022.
Six Senses first announced plans for the newbuild project in early 2019.
Spanning 38 acres on the southern end of Grenada, the Six Senses La Sagesse will feature 56 guestrooms, seven one-bedroom villas and five two-bedroom villas. The resort will also offer a number of three- and four-bedroom residences.
No building on the property will be built higher than the surrounding tree line.
The resort's amenities will include an Experience Center, which Six Senses describes as a "community hub where guests can book spa treatments, watersports or excursions"; a teen's lounge and children's play center; and a Six Senses Earth Lab, which will offer sustainability-focused workshops and other educational programming.
On the culinary front, the resort will offer the Signature restaurant, which will serve Creole-inspired cuisine as well as showcase plant-based and locally foraged menus. Guests will be able to opt for "destination dining options" like beach barbecue or chef's garden experiences, and in-villa dining will be available.
In addition to ordering a drink at the swim-up pool bar, guests will be able to attend a rum-making workshop at the Sand Bar or create a custom botanical drink base at the resort's Fermentation Bar.
The resort's Six Senses Spa at La Sagesse will feature a spa menu incorporating local traditions and indigenous plants and herbs. Personalized wellness programs, designed to address digestion issues, weight loss, a weakened immune system or other challenges, will also be on offer.
