Tiana's Bayou Adventure will open at the Walt Disney World Resort's Magic Kingdom this summer.

No specific date was released, but Disney also said the same attraction -- which was formerly Splash Mountain on both coasts -- will open in Disneyland Park in California later this year.

The attraction is based on the 2009 animated film "The Princess and the Frog." Its storyline will focus on what happens after the movie; it is set during Mardi Gras season on the Louisiana bayou, and Princess Tiana is throwing a party.

Dozens of new audio-animatronic figures -- Princess Tiana, Louis, Mama Odie, Eudora, Charlotte, Prince Ralphie, Prince Naveen and more -- will help tell the story.

An Instagram Reel posted Tuesday shows Walt Disney Imagineering executive creative producer Charita Carter unveiling an animatronic figure of Tiana that will be featured in the attraction.

The attraction's soundtrack, featuring New Orleans music including zydeco, will have music from the film as well as some originals. It was created by artists PJ Morton and Terence Blanchard.

During the attraction, musical critters will sing and play instruments crafted out of materials native to the bayou.

Familiar voices from the animated film will give voice to their characters: Bruno Campos as Prince Naveen, Jenifer Lewis as Mama Odie, Michael Leon Wooley as Louis and Anika Noni Rose as Princess Tiana.

The attraction will be home to artwork from New Orleans artists. Malaika Favorite's art will be found in the queue. Tiana's Bayou Adventure will also be home to a metalwork weathervane from master blacksmith Darryl Reeves and apprentice Karina Roca. Disney also credited New Orleans artist Sharika Mahdi, whose artwork has inspired the attraction.

Adding a final bit of New Orleans flair will be the smell of beignets frying while guests wait on line for the attraction.
