Luxury tour operator Abercrombie & Kent has acquired Bolivia specialist Crillon Tours, a move that strengthens A&K's South America portfolio.

Crillon offers custom travel in Bolivia, and its team will continue operating as normal under the current leadership. The acquisition includes Crillon's destination management company, DMC Bolivia.

A&K will develop its own DMC team in Bolivia and continue offering its own products, including luxury camping in the Uyuni salt flats. A&K CEO Cristina Levis said the acquisition "reflects our commitment to expanding access to the world's most remarkable destinations whilst maintaining the authentic connections and local expertise that define exceptional travel."

Crillon Tours vice president Darius Morgan said joining A&K will allow it to "showcase our extraordinary landscapes to discerning travelers worldwide, whilst maintaining the local expertise and cultural connections that make our experiences truly unique."

A&K plans to invest in Crillon Tours' assets, including its fleet of Airstream trailers, to bring them to A&K Sanctuary standards.
