Globus is giving its travelers more choice when it comes to excursions.

On nearly 80% of itineraries in Europe and North America, travelers can now make use of Globus Choice Excursions, which will enable "choose-your-own adventure" experiences, the company said in its announcement. Options include food tours, cycling and cruises.

Globus found that increasingly, travelers are prioritizing flexibility when taking guided tours.

"By giving guests more freedom and personalization than ever, we're inviting more travelers to discover the benefits of touring — from ease and VIP access to 'wow' moments on tap," said Steve Born, chief marketing officer for the Globus family of brands.

For instance, Portugal travelers will have their choice between a cruise on the Douro River or a port tasting; those in Florence can opt for an aperitivo stroll or a Florence food tour; and in San Francisco, travelers can choose from a Golden Gate bike ride or a Little Italy food tour.
