The legendary Copacabana Palace, A Belmond Hotel, Rio de Janeiro reports that it will reveal the renovation of its Pool Wing and pool area in November 2026. The hotel, which overlooks Copacabana Beach, turned 100 in 2023; the Pool Wing originally opened in 1948.

The new wing sounds like a jetsetter’s dream, as it overlooks the pool and lounging terrace, known as the hotel’s social heart, which sounds like a lot of Rio fun to us. We hear accommodations in the Pool Wing will all be suites and each will have a balcony (and of course, a pool view).

It gets better: Five floors of the new wing will be dedicated to wellness.

And, lest we forget about that actual pool, architect Ivan Rezende is designing a new hotel bar - meant elevate the Copacabana poolside experience, which we assume was already pretty fun. Past guests include  Brigitte Bardot, Justin Bieber; Walt Disney and Diana, Princess of Wales.
