Hôtel de Crillon, A Rosewood Hotel has just named Alan Taudon as executive chef, effective June 1, 2026. This is big news for Paris and for gastronomic aficionados worldwide; Taudon is currently at the helm of the two-Michelin-starred restaurant L'Orangerie - Four Seasons Hotel George V.
Both Hôtel de Crillon and the Hotel George V are “Palace” hotels, an official, ultra-luxury designation above five stars, awarded by the French government to elite, historic, or exceptionally high-end hotels.
The plan is for Taudon to assume leadership of all dining venues at Hôtel de Crillon, including its gastronomic restaurant, Jardin d’Hiver, Bar Les Ambassadeurs, room service, pastry, and events in the Historic Salons.
Hôtel de Crillon’s gastronomic restaurant is currently closed, undergoing a full overhaul of its reopening in early 2027. Changes will include new branding, redesigned interiors, and a new “culinary philosophy.”
