Turks and Caicos will lift its Covid vaccine requirements for visitors on April 1.
The country was one of the last in the Caribbean to continue to enforce major, Covid-era travel restrictions. Most countries lifted their requirements on vaccinations, testing and quarantines in mid-2022, but Turks and Caicos maintained a strict policy, requiring all visitors over age 18 to show proof of vaccination.

According to Shaun Malcolm, Turks and Caicos' minister of health and human services, the country's cabinet decided to lift the vaccination requirement at its March 22 meeting.
In a statement, Malcolm said the Turks and Caicos Islands is "not being severely impacted by the disease," but he added that the country should still "exercise caution." He urged residents and visitors to receive a vaccine or booster.
