Accommodations that are outside of the Resilient Corridors along Jamaica's north and south coasts that meet the island's Covid-19 health and safety requirements are now open to visitors, according to Edmund Bartlett, Jamaica's minister of tourism.
The corridors were set up in June 2020 to limit the movement of travelers to within the specific coastal areas to prevent the spread of Covid.
But hotels, resorts and cottages not in the Resilient Corridors are now allowed to receive guests once these accommodations have their Jamaica Tourist Board license, the Covid-19 Compliance Certificate and comply with the Ministry of Tourism's health and safety protocols.
In addition, more attractions have been allowed to open up across the country, provided they meet the same qualifications as listed above.

"Jamaica's tourism sector is recovering faster than we anticipated, and we are encouraged by the success in recent months as the destination welcomes more and more travelers," Bartlett said.
Since reopening its borders in June 2020, Jamaica has welcomed more than 810,000 visitors, according to the minister; earlier this year it projected 1.4 million visitors in 2021.
