Jamaica will welcome new nonstop service from Austin, Texas, to Montego Bay on American Airlines starting June 4.

"This new service complements the carrier's existing service out of Dallas/Fort Worth and offers another option for our travelers," said Donovan White, Jamaica's director of tourism.

American will operate the Saturday flights utilizing a 76-seat Embraer ERJ-175 aircraft. The carrier has served Jamaica for 45 years and offers multiple nonstops to Jamaica from major U.S. hubs.

In addition, Frontier will launch nonstop, year-round service from Miami to Kingston with three flights a week, beginning May 5.

This will be the carrier's first service into Kingston; Frontier already serves Montego Bay from Miami, Atlanta, Orlando and Newark.
