Playa Hotels & Resorts has named Carlos
Fresco and Vishal Vaswani general managers of the Jewel Runaway Bay Beach &
Golf Resort and the Jewel Grande Montego Bay Resort & Spa, respectively.
The appointments are part of Playa's employee growth model, a program committed to advancing the careers
of existing staff, as the company expands its partnerships across Mexico and
the Caribbean with brands like Hyatt, Hilton, Jewel and Panama Jack.
Fresco has worked with Playa since 2014, most recently as the hotel manager at Hyatt Ziva Los Cabos
in Mexico. He was also part of the team that oversaw the opening of Hyatt Ziva
and Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall in Montego Bay, Jamaica.
Vishal Vaswani, a Jamaica native, also joined
Playa in 2014, as the director of rooms for the Hyatt Ziva
and Hyatt Zilara Rose Hall. There he climbed the ladder to his most recent
position of hotel manager of the same properties.
