The Royal Lahaina resort on Maui's Kaanapali Beach has been updated and rebranded to the Royal Lahaina Resort and Bungalows. Now under new ownership and new management, it remains independent and locally owned as it has been since 1962.
Rooms and suites overlook the ocean and are available in the Lahaina Kai Tower, while the bungalows are undergoing renovation and will be unveiled in 2023. Menus have been updated, and there's a new dining experience: Kiawe Outdoor. Described as communal and alfresco, the experience happens twice a week and features a five-course prix fixe meal with wine pairings.
On the expansive 27-acre property, guests will find two swimming pools, a fitness center, open-air restaurant, cultural activities, a spa and tennis courts. A revitalized luau and expanded programming are also expected in the coming year.
