Mauna Kea Resort, which includes Mauna Kea Beach Hotel and Hapuna Beach Resort, has announced the appointment of two new executives and two new hires in key sales positions.

Stephen Dowling has taken on the role of director of property management. Dowling joins Mauna Kea from Canyons Grand Summit Resort Hotel in Park City, Utah, where he was general manager. He will oversee all of the resort's residential property management and rental business projects.

The company tapped Brad Doell as its new director of sales and marketing. Doell boasts more than two decades of experience, and most recently served as director of sales and marketing at Oahu's Turtle Bay Resort. Doell will manage all of the property's sales initiatives.

Libby Child has been promoted to associate director of leisure sales, and Maylyn Caravalho to the position of leisure sales manager, the company announced. Child will lead the teams for Mauna Kea Resort's two properties and Prince Waikiki. She joined the company in 2013 as a sales assistant. Caravalho joined Prince Resorts Hawaii in 2016 as a leisure sales account executive.

Mauna Kea Resort is managed by Prince Resorts Hawaii, and the Hapuna Beach Resort is preparing to rebrand to The Westin Hapuna Beach Resort in spring 2018 following a multimillion-dollar renovation.
